Among her favourite writers are Verne, Orwell, Bradbury, Dickens, Joyce, Wilde, Tolstoi, Stevenson, Vargas Llosa, Dostoyevski, H.G. Wells and Rulfo.
Our founder member is a licensed attorney graduated from Anahuac University and has been an authorized translator by the Baja California Sur State Supreme Court since August 25, 2014, for English and Spanish languages.
She practised law for 7 years in a large law firm in Mexico City and for the last 18 years in Los Cabos, at her own law firm. Her experience has been focused mainly on real estate law, corporate law, tax and customs law, including legal advice and litigation.
She founded - ALL ABOUT WORDS - a company with a team of translators and "native speaker" proof readers for both languages.
Her English background goes back to the Maddox Academy, a British school founded in 1912 in Mexico City. She studied English in Oxford, UK and approved TOEFL; and also has a CAE Cambridge ESOL level of English .
She has qualified professional skills in drafting. Her work as a writer dates back to year 2000 when she published her first fiction history illustrated book (¿En dónde está el Ángel?). She publised her second fiction book, Secretos de una Alcancía, which is sold in Gandhi.com since 2019.
Laura will shortly publish her third book. This is a historical novel for adults to be released next July 20th, 2020.
She is currently writing two more books about pirates and a jewel from the ocean. Laura is also a writer in Tendencia Magazine, Los Cabos. Her section "FROM THE DESK OF LAURA BUENO" is celebrating it´s 10th years anniversary.
